The Melody of Touch: How to Add More Notes to Your Life’s Symphony

It’s Sofie again, and I’m back with some more touchy-feely advice on how to increase tactile communication in your life. In my last blog, we talked about hugging trees and giving out free hugs to strangers, but there are other ways to increase touch in your life, too!

Think of touch like a musical instrument. Just like how an instrument needs to be played regularly to stay in tune, our bodies need regular touch to stay balanced and healthy. So why not treat yourself to a massage, reiki treatment or hair appointment? It’s like a symphony for your body, soothing your soul with the sweet melodies of touch.

Or imagine touch like a book club. It brings people together and creates a community around shared interests. Joining an interest group or a book club can provide opportunities for physical activities like dancing or yoga, which can also increase touch in your life.

And why not spice things up by starting a dinner club or a walking group? These groups can be like a potluck of touch, with everyone contributing their unique flavour and style. It’s a great way to connect with others and add a little extra seasoning to your life.

Finally, touch can be like a garden. It needs to be tended to and cared for regularly to flourish. Starting a community or neighbourhood group can provide opportunities for more touch and connection with others, like planting seeds of love and watching them grow.

More ways to bring touch and connection into your life! Whether it’s a musical symphony, a book club, a potluck of touch, or a garden of love, there are plenty of opportunities to cultivate tactile communication and spread the joy.
